Foster a collaborative, collegial community
The Institute’s laboratory benchtop to patient bedside approach fosters an environment for enhanced communication and collaboration between clinicians and researchers that enables the:
- Development of improved diagnostics and treatments that are safer or more effective than those currently available
- Investigation of innovative uses for technologies that are currently available
- Pioneering of new diagnostics and treatments when no others exist
We will unite and strengthen team science with the UCI Schools of Medicine, Engineering, Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences and UCI Beall Applied Innovation to bring the enormous power of cutting-edge optics and biophotonics technologies together with pioneers with diverse backgrounds to radically change healthcare.
