UC Irvine Beckman Laser Institute & Medical Clinic/UCI Technology Transfer Program has been active in the patenting and licensing of Institute technologies, as well as securing associated UC Irvine research contracts to support the further development of these technologies. UC Irvine Beall Applied Innovation is a critical partner of the Institute, fostering the networks of entrepreneurship, including partnerships, licensing and industry-sponsored research with companies and researchers. The Institute works with UC Irvine Beall Applied Innovation to optimize the licensure process and facilitate the inception and growth of Institute-derived companies, as well as collaborations with outside partners.
